If you would like to become one of our student delegates, please review the following program information. All of the required application forms and information packets can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

• Be a high school sophomore or junior by August 2012
• Complete the International Youth Delegate Training Program
• Complete approved social action and community service project prior to departure
• Fulfill fundraising requirements
• Adhere to International Youth Friendship and Development Program Standards of Personal Conduct and Community Behavior

• Complete an application with two letters of recommendation
• Complete an interview after application is approved
• Obtain parental or legal guardian consent

If selected, participants are required to work with the team of delegates and leaders for monthly developmental programs prior to departure. The work will include but is not limited to:
• Educational programs about culture, history, and politics of countries to visit;
• Collective fundraising work and responsibility;
• Engaging social action and community service activities; and
• Mentoring future delegates.

The cost of the program is approximately $4,500 which covers round-trip airfare, ground transportation in host countries, food, lodging and entrance fees.

The Executive Committee will contribute approximately 20% to the cost. The Executive Committee will show you and your family unit how to raise approximately $3, 000 using tested and proven fundraising techniques. For example, pizza & bake sales, pledge sheets, church & community organization donations, matching corporate contributions, etc.
