About Us
International Youth Friendship & Development Program

Co-founded in 1998 by Mr. Omowale Luthuli and the late Mr. Clarence Brooks, the International Youth Friendship & Development Program (IYFDP) is made up of dedicated Houston-area volunteers who have created a community for mentorship, friendship, and education through travel and outreach experiences. Working to facilitate Friendships Beyond Borders, our goal is to develop youth friendships and leadership that can bring about peace among future generations, reduce the spread of juvenile HIV-AIDS and foster peace and justice at home and abroad.
